The park is about 45 minutes from us. My son and I headed out just before lunch and found a nice spot on the north side of the park near Look Rock around 1p. After a quick snack from the back of the Jeep, we tossed the end-fed half wave antenna up over a tree branch and pulled the KX3 out. We made 14 contacts which was pretty good considering how poor our antenna setup was. But it qualifies as POTA activation...
