I've been using the Heil Proset Plus for several months and am very impressed. The sound quality is excellent and the ability to switch between the different mic elements is great. I chose the non-IC version so that it would be compatible with any radio I might acquire. With some tuning of the Icom 756Pro3, I get very good audio reports.

As for wearing it, the headset itself fits well and is relatively comfortable. The mic placement is good and I don't have any problems taking a drink with the headset on. The longest I've worn the headset in one sitting is about 3 hours which wasn't a comfort problem.

Update 2021

After years of use with Icom and Elecraft radios, it's still going strong. I did purchase a new Heil Pro 7 for daily use and have the Proset Plus as a backup.
