Rhonda and I spent a couple of days in West Jefferson NC the week of Thanksgiving.  We stayed in a fantastic rental cabin, A Heavenly View.  It's probably the nicest cabin we've ever rented.

While there we took a day to ride the Virginia Creeper.  We had a great time, despite my bicycle not behaving.  But that's another, longer, story...

We used Adventure Damascus to shuttle up to the trail-head.  They were great to deal with and even setup an off-schedule shuttle run since several of us were ready to go before the next scheduled run.
